Hi. I am looking for some cookbooks by Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsie etc but I can only seem to find them in print. If anybody could direct me to a source for text file versions or whatever, that'd be great.
since they're not in the public domain/still have copyright issues, I'd not expect to find text files/Etexts any time soon.
Well, I had a quick look, and found a file dump of about 50 cookbooks, fantastic variety, and 3 of them Jamie Oliver's, and wouldn't you know it? They're all PDF! Gurhrhrhrhr! All I can think of is keeping your eye on torrents. they tend to come up with the unexpected on a pretty regular basis. I think though, that people will be less inclined to share cook books in text form, since the npictures are so central to the scan. Let me know if you find any good ones!
If the pdf files are locked, I still might be able to extract the text. it's hit and miss sometimes. Can you send that collection to me or provide a URL please? Thank you very much.
OK, it's a big one altogether, about 130 megs, so here's a list of titles. Let me know which you'd like and we'll sort something out. I have them all as individual PDF files, and the only one that's excessively large by itself is the Mastering French Cooking, which is 94 megs by itself.
